When I think about May I think about fertility. Mostly because of the tradition of the maypole. There is an old tradition of dancing around the maypole. For some it is a tradition to welcome spring, for some it is a tradition around community, and for others it is about fertility. As the law of attraction would have it, I have had a lot of conversations around fertility lately. What you think about you bring about. In my conversations, I have found that people are unaware of the relationship of the health of their spinal health/nervous system to the health and vitality of their reproductive system.
The nervous system is the master control system. The brain sends messages to the body via the spinal cord and nerves and the body sends messages back to the brian. This delicate system is housed within the spinal column, In order for the cells, tissues, muscles, and organs to function they need to receive a command from the brain delivered via the nerves of the body. If there is interference in this communication, there is the possibility of dysfunction of the organ supplied by the nerve. This is true for ALL cells, tissues, muscles and organs INCLUDING our reproductive organs as well. The nerves that supply the reproductive organs are located in the lumbar spine and pelvis. (see chart). If there is a problem at this level of the spine, there could be problems with fertility.
“A series of research papers published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research (JVSR – http://www.jvsr.com) suggests that chiropractic adjustments, performed by chiropractors to address nerve interference caused by spinal distortions, could offer hope to many women facing fertility challenges.
The 12 studies in the series found that chiropractic had positive results regardless of the woman’s age, number of years infertile, previous medical intervention or health history including miscarriages, blocked fallopian tubes, amenorrhea, colitis, or trauma.”
